The institution is situated over 22 acres of land and well communicated by bus and train with neighboring district and other. In a short span of time, the RIT has succeeded in making an indelible mark on the engineering education in Orissa. RIT is fast becoming the most preferred institute of top DET rank holders. Students of more than 13 district are studying in the Institute.
The institute has magnificently designed separate hostels for the boys and girls each with all facilities for boarding and other recreational activities. The hostels have their own mess to provide good and hygienic food to the boarders. Well furnished and spacious rooms are there and each room is equipped with different study assets with the proper supervisions of hostel in charge with the office bearer. A full time warden is assigned to the hostel, who acts as a friend, philosopher and guide at the same time maintains strict discipline.
RIT has well furnished canteen facility to provide hygienic food to its students and employees at a minimum cost.
